SUMMARY:Smog Tech Repair License Update Training
DESCRIPTION:CLASS SCHEDULE\nMarch 23\, 2026 – March 25\, 2026\n6:00 pm to 10:00 pm\nMonday\, Tuesday & Wednesday\nSmog Check Repair Technicians must renew their Smog Repair License every 2 years. \nSmog Check repair technicians are required to complete 12 hours of update training every two years as part of the license renewal process.  This course will satisfy the BAR criteria for 12 hours of continuing education credit. \nThe training course is intended to provide licensees continuing education on changes in automotive technology\, new and revised inspection procedures\, and updates to the laws and regulations impacting the Smog Check Program. \nTraining topics vary by course. \n Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion via email from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) \nNote: \nIf you are updating your Smog Check Inspector License you must complete the 4-hour Smog Inspector Update training on the California Automotive Resource Center (CalARC) website located under the “Training” tab.
