This is a 32 hr course and most importantly the 3rd part of Level 1 Engine and Emission Controls Fundamentals

Time: Monday – Wednesday (6PM – 10PM)

Date: August 6 – August 15th

This course will cover the following;

• The proper testing procedure of an On-Board Inspection System (OIS)
• Visual and functional testing related to OBDII inspection
• Description, explanation and State/Federal Regulations of the following Readiness Monitors;
  • Fuel Control Monitor
  • Misfire Monitor
  • Comprehensive Component Monitor
  • Non-Continuous Monitors
• Monitor Drive Cycles and Enabling Criteria.
• Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)
• Data Link Connector (DLC)
• Federal Test Procedure (FTP)
• Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) criterior
